Who we are
The Wheel Press is published by Complex Rehab Group Holdings Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16125925), whose registered office is 7 The Workshed, Fairpark Road, Liskeard, Cornwall PL14 4BA (“we”, “us”). We are the controller of the personal information described here. You can contact us at barry@complexrehabgroup.co.uk.
What we collect and why
- Enquiries. When you use an enquiry form we collect your name, email address, the country or region you are in, whether you are a user, clinician, parent or carer, dealer or manufacturer, the product types you are interested in, the product or page you enquired from, and the message you write. We use this to pass your enquiry to a partner who can answer it (see below) and to keep a record of it. Our basis is your consent, given when you submit the form, and our legitimate interest in running the service.
- Newsletter. Your email address, your name if you give it, whether you are a dealer, clinician, user, parent or carer, manufacturer or other, the country or region you are in, and the product types you want to hear about. We use this to send you the newsletter and to send you the editions and announcements that are relevant to your interests and region. Our basis is your consent. Every email has an unsubscribe link and you can withdraw consent at any time.
- Emails to us. If you email us, for example with a correction or a story tip, we keep your message and address so we can reply. Our basis is our legitimate interest in dealing with it.
- Website use. Our site and hosting collect technical data such as IP address, browser, pages visited and referring site, to keep the site secure and to understand how it is used. Our basis is legitimate interests.
Who receives your enquiry
When you submit an enquiry, we pass it to one partner in your area. That is usually a dealer, but it may be a manufacturer or distributor where that is the better way to answer you. We send them the details you gave in the form so they can contact you, answer your questions, arrange a demonstration or give you a quote. We only do this when you submit an enquiry, and the form tells you so before you send it.
Once the partner has your details they are responsible for them and will handle them under their own privacy policy, so please read it if you want to know how they use your information. We may receive a fee or other commercial benefit from a partner when we refer an enquiry. Because of this, some US state laws may treat the referral as a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information; see “Your rights” below for how to opt out.
Who else sees your information
We use service providers to run the site and send email. These include our host, WordPress.com (Automattic Inc.), which also provides our forms and spam filtering, and the newsletter software we use, MailPoet (also part of Automattic), together with the email delivery service it uses to send messages. They act on our instructions and only handle your information to provide those services. We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.
We do not share newsletter subscriber details with advertisers or sponsors. We send the newsletter ourselves.
Some of the providers and partners above are based outside the UK, including in the United States. Where that is the case we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the UK data transfer arrangements those providers offer.
Please keep health details out of your enquiry
You do not need to tell us about a medical condition to make an enquiry. Describe the equipment or features you are looking for instead, and the partner can discuss the clinical side with you directly. If you do include health information, it is treated as sensitive, it is passed on only as part of your enquiry, and we rely on your explicit consent to do that. If you are writing on behalf of someone else, only include what is needed and make sure you are entitled to share it.
Cookies
The site uses cookies that are necessary for it to work. Our host, WordPress.com, may also record basic usage statistics, such as which pages are read. If we add analytics or marketing cookies that are not strictly necessary, we will ask for your consent first and update this policy.
How long we keep it
Enquiries: for as long as needed to deal with them, and up to 12 months afterwards. The partner who receives your enquiry keeps it for as long as their own policy says. Newsletter details: until you unsubscribe, after which we keep only a minimal record so that we do not email you again. Technical logs: for a limited period set by our host.
Your rights
If you are in the UK or the European Economic Area, you can ask us to give you a copy of your information, correct it, delete it, restrict its use, or move it, and you can object to us using it. You can withdraw consent at any time. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or to your local data protection authority.
If you live in a US state with a privacy law, such as California, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to opt out of its sale or sharing, and not to be treated differently for using these rights. Other countries, such as Canada and Australia, give similar rights. To use any of these rights, or to ask us not to pass your details to a partner, email barry@complexrehabgroup.co.uk. We will respond within the time the law allows. If you have already enquired, tell us and we will let the partner know where we can, but you may also need to contact the partner directly.
Children
The site is for adults and is not aimed at children. If you are under 16, please ask a parent or carer to make an enquiry for you.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
